From the moment you step in, you’re enveloped in the rich aromas of freshly smoked meats and home-cooked sides. The standout dishes here truly reflect the heart and soul the team pours into their craft. As one enthusiastic diner, Bren, describes, the beef brisket and pulled pork promise a "flavor explosion" that’s both "luscious and mouthwatering." The tangy mustard and pickle toppings elevate the sandwiches to new heights.
Another highlight is their chicken sandwich, which features a perfectly seasoned, juicy breast with a satisfying crunch, delivering comfort in every bite. The sides are equally impressive; the skillet cornbread is likened to "eating fresh corn-on-the-cob in bread form" and is irresistibly good. Don’t overlook the baked beans, brimming with homemade goodness and a touch of green pepper, and the collard greens, essential to any hearty meal here.

Wow, just wow. Perhaps my reviews tend to be too exaggerated, over-the-top, or unbelievable; perhaps. But in this case, this place, Fryer’s Roadside x Money Muscle BBQ is the real deal. The hardworking staff have clearly poured their heart & soul into making this operation a success. And they’re knocking it outta the park. They clearly have a solid reputation based on the constant flow of people whenever I visit. But also the consistent quality of food. So now for my food review. Both the beef brisket & pulled pork: flavor-explosion, luscious, moist, mouthwatering, especially love their choice to dress both sandwiches with tangy mustard & pickles. The chicken sandwich: tender breast meets a satisfying crunch of a well-battered preparation, obviously also mouthwatering. Now for the sidekicks; the skillet cornbread: like eating fresh corn-on-the-cob in bread form; irresistible, so don’t fill-up on this! The baked beans: homemade experience and love the addition of diced, green pepper. The collard greens: an essential component of the overall meal, so add these to your order! And so, after reading this review, or even if you were just curious, now you really must go to Fryer’s Roadside. And I forgot, don’t forget the shakes!

Do yourself a favor and stop by here!! We ended up driving by on the way to DC and I haven't had food this good in a while! The last bbq place we ate at last week was a disappointment and FRYERSSS!! Fryers is so good! Worth every penny! The fries were so fresh and crispy and crunchy on the outside and slightly soft in the middle. Not dry or over done. The Sliced Texas Brisket was so damn good! Lots of flavor and super tender with a rim of charred crispiness on the top! The sauce (Kansas City) went really well with the brisket. The Chopped Texas Brisket Sandwich was so good! The bread alone was fresh and so soft and warm. The brisket, again, you can't miss with that. The pickle added to the flavor and the crunch set it off. The Pulled Pork Pizza was delicious! I'm used to "traditional" pizzas and don't normally pick meats outside of the typical pepperoni or sausage and the Pulled Pork looked so good I had to give it a try. You can't lose at 5 a slice. They even heat it to perfection with the singed bits on the crust. It was so warm and soft and brittle. The pulled pork on it was crumbly and very flavorful! The atmosphere is pleasing. I'm from the country south so to sit outside and hear the cars going by in the distance felt like home. You could smell the smokey meats and it had an outback, bbq, cookout feel to it. Lots of space and plenty of seats. The price is what wrapped it all up!! You won't regret spending funds here and tipping was well worth it. The staff brought our food to us and were extremely polite and helpful! Don't miss out! We'll be back. I couldn't even get a full picture of the pizza we already started eating it lol

I have been meaning to eat at Friars roadside for sometime now and have the opportunity to just recently and I was not disappointed! I ordered the original chicken sandwich. It was huge! It was juicy! It was perfectly crunchy and well seasoned. I ate outside. They have a cute outdoor eating area. They also sell barbecue and I’ll have to try it next time. My bar for barbecue is very high, but the on-site smoker gave me hope and I’m always looking for a good barbecue spot.

The new owners really turned this place around, EVERYTHING IS AMAZING! We ordered the spicy tenders, pulled pork sandwich, ribs, wedges, biscuits and Mac & cheese. The ribs were so tender and seasoned to perfection. The bbq is amazing, they were sold out of the brisket but I’ll def be back soon to try that and more items on the menu.

Last time I reviewed here it was a Chicken Shack enjoyed. No I think a couple months later they revamped it and started doing more meats. WOW. So I ordered Potato Wedges (kinda sad the regular fries aren’t there) But it makes sense perfectly cook with a nice season of old bay Hawaiian Rolls nice a soft Sliced Texas Brisket this was the first time order Brisket in general and I really enjoyed it. (I can’t compare it to anything else) not two chew nice a seasoned great color as well Carolina Pulled Pork I had other PP that makes me feel heavy after but this made me feel GREAT all around great taste This. Last time I tried the Mac and Cheese (when it was solely a chicken place, also old owner I think). it was disgusting no flavor pretty much out a box from the shape of the elbows (small) BUT THIS. You can tell they actually cared about it, it taste like my aunts Mac and Cheese when they come over for christmas. nice and creamy but not too creamy fully cooked Pasta And it looks like they used a higher quality ones with nice bread crumbs. and the BBQ sauce I used was Kansas City BBQ Im not a huge fan of BBQ cause at times its too over powering but this was nice( also I asked for it on the side) Parking is great, clean space inside, you cant eat inside but I think around the side they have. Nice place to sit, Price is fair the quality food you are receiving is a good price My family enjoyed and I will be coming back @yoooeeli

Wow! I have driven past Fryer’s Roadside for so many years and finally decided to stop in. I can’t wait to go back! The spicy chicken sandwich and fries were so good. How do they keep the fries so crispy in a takeout container?? And the chicken was juicy and crispy at the same time. It will be hard not to order what I just ate, but I’m looking forward to trying their other offerings. Thank you for a great meal.

In celebration of Juneteenth, we ordered dinner from Fryer’s. The chicken wings were delicious and the size that we experienced when Fryer’s first opened. Of late, the wings had been quite small and not very meaty. Keep the larger size.

The Whiting was fried to perfection. The coleslaw garnish was delicious and just the right amount of heat on this spicy version. Friday afternoon perfection! The outudoor patio was clean, comfortable and enjoyable. This will be my new fish sandwich spot in Montgomery County, MD.
